Without Cookies the World Would Be…

What do you think the world would be like without cookies?!  We think it would be any combination of horrible, alarming, and downright depressing.  But, we want to know what YOU think.

Today we are raiding the subways of New York City and joining fans riding to the Yankees vs. Mets game for this in–season Subway Series.  If you are in the NYC area you can find us on the 7 Train to Citi Field hosting a cookie giveaway and kick starting our Social Media Contest.

Even if you are not in New York, no worries, you can still get in on the action!  Join our Social Media Contest by tweeting us @CookiePanache letting us know what you think the world would be like without cookies.  Use the tagline “Without cookies the world would be…”   The most creative tweet wins and scores 2 tickets to an upcoming Yankees or Mets game.  Don’t forget to hash tag your favorite MLB team (we’re Yankees fans at our office, but don’t worry – we won’t be biased in choosing our winner).

Example Tweet:

@CookiePanache Without cookies the world would be…crumb-y! #Yankees

If you don’t have a Twitter, you can still join the fun!  Get in on the contest by posting what you think the world would be like without cookies on our Facebook page (Like!) at facebook.com/cookiepanache.  (Please see below for Full Contest Rules.)

Easter Egg Hunts from Around the World

While I was always a fan of candy, chocolate, and the Easter bunny, the thing that I remember being my favorite about the Easter holiday as a child was the Egg Hunt!  My family’s egg hunts were usually contained to the backyard and involved my cousins and me fighting over a jellybean. Little did I know that there are some amazing egg hunts around the world.

Fabergé’s Big Egg Hunt in London, UK

White House Easter Egg Roll

One of the most well known Egg Hunts in the U.S. is the Easter Egg Roll at the White House.  This 134th annual event takes place on the South Lawn and involves 35,000 eggs, games, face painting, and food from celebrity chefs.  Over 200,000 people apply to get in and only 30,000 receive tickets.

Fabergé’s  Big Egg Hunt – London

Unfortunately this event is over, but I will say that I’m already planning my trip to England for this next year.  The egg hunt is actually over a month long, beginning on February 21 and ending on April 3.  Over 200 designer eggs, each over two feet tall are hidden all over the city.  Every egg contains a code word that can be texted in and puts you in the running for the Grand Prize (which sounds so amazing, I can hardly wait to win it next year.)  The grand prize is ‘The Diamond Jubilee Egg”, estimated at £100,000.  The eggs truly are a work of art and are created by artists and fashion designers from around the world, with all money raised donated to charities.

The Great Peter Rabbit Easter Egg Hunt – Windermere, UK

This egg hunt hides 110 ceramic eggs to commemorate Peter Rabbit’s 110th birthday.  The eggs, themed after Beatrix Potter’s “The Tale of Peter Rabbit” and “The Tale of Mr. Tod” will be hidden across the Cambrian countryside and spans 2,600 square miles.

Egg Hunt at the Chateau Vaux Le Vicomte – France

A gorgeous castle outside of Paris hosts an egg hunt every Easter Sunday hiding over 35,000 eggs.  What I like most about this Egg Hunt though, other than the fact that it takes place at a castle, is that there is a scheduled egg hunt in the morning for kids and a separate one in the afternoon for adults.

Have a happy and safe weekend from all of us at Cookie Panache!

Things have been busy at Cookie Panache headquarters! We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Spring after a wet and snowy NYC winter. And with Spring right around the corner, that means Easter isn’t too far away, either.

Our newest cookie collection, which consists of these Easter eggs, bunnies and baskets, are decorated in Springy pastels and featured here amongst the green grass and blooming flowers that are heading our way.

By the way, our cookies are as delicious as they are beautiful.

The Weather Outside Is Frightful, But Our Cookies Are So Delightful!

It’s been unseasonably cold here this past week, but we can’t all coop up in our homes watching TV with a cup of hot cocoa. With Christmas only a week away, the streets of New York are bustling with last minute shoppers bundled up in their winter gear, braving the weather and contributing to the economy. Here at Cookie Panache, we’re busy baking, decorating and packing cookies up to send to you and your loved ones (The Season’s Greetings package is a popular gift this year!).

It’s a busy time of year for everyone, so we just wanted to remind you to have a safe, happy and healthy holiday from the whole Cookie Panache team.

Cookie of the Week: Coconut Caramel

This week’s featured cookie is the Coconut Caramel, two coconut cookies with a caramel center. If I had to choose my favorite out of all the delicious gourmet cookies we offer, this would be it:

The chewy coconut cookies have the perfect flaky, coconut-y texture and the sweet creamy caramel is the perfect complement. But don’t take my word for it, try them for yourself; I hope you love them as much as I do!
